The Background

Banks County Lady Leopards- 2017-2018 25-6 Overall Record, 10-2 (Region 8AA), 2017-2018 Region 8AA Champs and State Elite 8 appearance. 

The Lady Leopards have a strong returning core of players this year and have started out strong this season at 4-0 and have a really strong senior class. Coach Shedd feels like the team has a lot of playoff experience and hopes that will help the team as the season progresses. The team is balanced with a good inside and outside game and has a good balance of size and speed.

Players to Watch

Jaycie Bowen– 2017-2018 8AA First Team All Region, Strong post inside with the ability to stretch a defense with mid-range and 3 point shots. 1,000 point scorer,  Georgia College Commit. 

Heather Vaughan– 2017-2018 8AAAAAA Honorable Mention, Blitz Player of the Week, Quick guard with outstanding ball handling ability and a definite outside threat. 

Amber Williams– 2017-2018 8AA First Team All Region, Great rebounder and shot blocker with the ability to score underneath the basket and from the perimeter. 1

Kailynn Gilstrap- Gritty defensive guard with a great outside shot.
