The Background
This years Franklin County team hopes to follow up on last years 30-1 season and final four run. 5 seniors graduated from last years team. 3 are currently playing college basketball. This years team will start a couple of sophomores and 2 juniors with a senior and a freshman in the mix to start in the final spot. Last year Franklin County was one of two teams in the state to win 30 games and one of three to hold teams under 1000 points defensively in all classifications. This years team wants to continue to play the same type of defense. The team will be led by Preseason All-State member Bailee Breedlove. Bailee has been contacted by multiple division schools in Power 5 Conferences. She was first team all region last year. She is dealing with injuries and is working to get back to full strength. Rose Boyd and Lexy Spencer are two other guards that played a lot last year and will contribute to the scoring and ball handling. Kaylyn Jinks will start and saw significant minutes in the state tournament run.
