The Background
In the 2018-19 season, the Hawks will look to improve on what was an
ultimately productive 2017-18 campaign, in which they finished 6th in the
region, but qualified for the state tournament after upsetting the 3rd
seeded team in arguably the toughest region in GHSA. Having only graduated
three seniors, Mill Creek returns several experienced players, including
three starters. (Click Here to Read our Inside the Program Article)
Players to Watch
Kendall Latney, G, Jr.
Kendall Latney is a three year varsity player and has started for the past
two years. Kendall’s strength and explosiveness make him one of the most
athletic players in the region.
Jack Kostel, G, Jr.
Kostel is a returning starter and a second year varsity player. Jack shines
as a floor general at the point guard spot, but his offensive skill set and
athleticism allow him to also play on the wing.
Matthew McDowell, F, Sr.
Matthew McDowell is a four year varsity letterman and a two year starter.
Matthew size and outside shooting ability have made him a match-up problem
for many opposing teams.
Tobi Ogun-Semore, C, Sr.
Tobi will be in his second year as a varsity player and returning starter.
Tobi is a very skilled offensive player whose length and surprising lateral
quickness make him a foundational piece for Hawks defensively.
