Last year was Denmark’s inaugural season, and we will be returning almost everyone from last year, while adding a couple of additions in Robert Cowherd (Class of 2022) and Aaron McLaughlin (Class of 2021).

Players to Watch:
Sutton Smith- Sutton (Class of 2021) is coming back from an outstanding sophomore campaign for the Danes, in which he averaged 17 ppg and 4.4 apg. He was selected as Region 7-4A Region Player of the Year and was a GHSA 4A All-State 1st Team Selection. Sutton is being recruited heavily from various levels, including Navy, University of Alabama-Huntsville, and University of North Georgia.
Adonnis Easton Tolbert- Adonnis (Class of 2020) returns for his senior year after having a very productive season last year, in which he averaged 10.4 ppg and 7.7 rpg. He was selected as a Region 7-4A 1st Team All-Region player. Having grown physically (now at 6’7″ with a 6’10” wingspan) and improved his skill set in combination with his extreme explosiveness, Adonnis will play a huge role in Denmark getting back in the hunt during the state playoffs this year. Adonnis has received an offer for Chattahoochee Valley State (JuCo) and has received interest from Navy and University of North Georgia this fall.
Robert Cowherd- Robert (Class of 2022) is coming in from Holy Spirit Prep, where they were state runner-up last season. His ability to stretch the floor from deep will be a great addition for the Danes. Standing at 6’5″ and with the skill set of a guard, he has the ability to get to the rim and finish in many different ways. Robert has already received an early offer from UGA, and several other high major Div.1 schools have expressed great interest in him as well.
