Past Seasons History:

The Etowah Eagles have won the Region Championship in Region 4 7A the past 3 seasons. During this run, the eagles have averaged 21 wins a season and have made it to the sweet sixteen each year. The Eagles look forward to continuing their recent level of success in the 2020 season.

Highlights of This Season’s Schedule:

This season is highlighted by the Cherokee/Forsyth Classic and the Pope Holiday tournament. As always, the Eagles look to compete in a super competitive Region 4 7a tournament and hopefully compete in the State Tournament.

Players to Watch From the Coaching Staff:

Will Garvey- Averaging 19 points a game. Senior leader and only returning starter from Last year’s Region Championship. After the GHSA team camp, Will had several colleges reach out and contact him about playing at the next level. Will continues to grow as a player and leader and will continue to turn heads this fall.

Brock Rechsteiner- All- Region Football player as a junior. Just go back on the basketball court and is an impressive athlete and shooter. Over the summer, Oglethorpe inquired about his game.

Cole Ellis- Junior is averaging 17 points a game and 5 3s so far this season. Cole is a standout on our state known baseball team and continues to excel in both sports.

Kavon Fishe- Senior guard who is the heart of our team. He will play harder than anyone else on the floor. Kavon is having a great senior year and is still deciding on plans for his future.

Colby Flaig- Another standout from the baseball team, Colby returns as a junior with a ton of upside. After playing big minutes last year as sophomore, Colby is averaging close to a double double at 8p and 7 rebounds a game.

Jadon Devonish- Jadon always provides a spark for our team while in the game. Jadon currently has no offers but continues to play at a high level.

Josh Hughes and Jonah Hamilton are sophomores to keep an eye on as they progress as players.

Mason Etter and Brandon Rechsteiner are getting significant minutes as 9th graders this year. Both of these young men will be big time prospects over the next 4 years as they continue to progress
