2019 Chris Smalls (Brookwood)

Height: 5’10
Position: Guard
The Breakdown:
August 2018
We expect Smalls to have a standout Senior Season for the Bronco’s coming off his Junior campaign in which he averaged 7.5ppg and had 40 made 3’s on the season with his best game being a 21 point outing versus Cambridge. Smalls will be one of the top Senior Guards in Gwinnett County this season and he is a must guard player on the perimeter who will make you pay from 3.

Smalls is a left handed guard who can get downhill quickly off the bounce. He did a good job of finishing on the move today. He used shot fakes and ball fakes to set up his drives. He is very quick, which should translate into production on the defensive end as well. His challenge will be to play under control and limit the mistakes he makes.

Smalls is a left handed point guard with plenty of upside. Although smaller, he is quick with a motor that runs consistently. Smalls projects to be a primary ball handler who can create space off the high screen and dish to open teammates. His jumper has potential, but that is an area of growth for him moving forward. Just a freshman, the upcoming years of growth both physically and basketball acumen are important.
