Players to Watch:
Senior Shawn Smith lead guard who excels in the open floor with great change of pace. He’s a constant threat to get in the lane and an aggressive on ball defender.
AAU: Team Strap
Junior Jordan Marshall is a scoring wing that can make shots from all 3 levels. Strong handle allows him to get anywhere he wants on the floor. Looking for a breakout season
AAU: Atlanta Celtics
Sophomore TJ Clarke the younger brother of VCU freshman Tre Clarke. TJ is a combo guard that can really stroke it from deep and crafty getting into the lanes for finishes. He the knack of scoring the basketball.
AAU Team: Game Elite JB
Freshman Qua Brown young player with major upside. The lefty already finishes plays with dunks and nice outside stroke. Has a great feel for the game with or without the ball in his hands.
AAU Team: Freebands Elite
Freshman Stephon Castle lead guard with great size and vision. Can play on or off the ball and rebounds the ball very well for his position.
AAU Team: DCA Stacy
Freshman Jaki Newton strong athletic wing that has major upside. Can shoot the ball off the dribble and will be one of the best defenders in the state in the future.
AAU Team: DCA Stacy
Freshman MJ Wyatt long lanky wing that has the knack to score in transitions and in the half court. As he physically gets strong will develop into a nice scoring wing.
AAU Team: Flight 22
Freshman Shawn Thompkins the big fella is new to the game but soft hand and strong body to be an impact in the paint. Can step and show a nice stroke from deep. As he gains experience he will dominate the paint.
