Oglethorpe Elite Camp Standouts

Atlanta, GA– Oglethorpe University held their Annual Men’s Basketball Elite Camp on Saturday and had a very talented group from players in GA and surrounding states. The Oglethorpe staff noted that 7 players on last season’s roster have attended their Elite Camp.  The OU Men’s Basketball staff is in local HS Gyms and events as much as any school in the Southeast during the year recruiting and it is noted that 8 players from last season’s roster have participated in our #SHReportShowcase events while they were in High School.

2025 Jacob Lee

Flat out winner who makes plays on both ends. Always defends/dives on the floor for loose balls. Coached teammates up all day and was extremely active and vocal during skills stations. Has really improved his outside shot over the last year. After he passes to a teammate he doesn’t stand still he relocates to spot up and knock it down in the half court setting. His improvement on his outside shots has really opened up his ability to use his head fake and get into the paint and disrupt the defense.

2025 Anderson Shepherd

Athletic guard known for making explosive plays at the rim. Every game he makes 1-2 plays at the rim that everyone notices whether it is catching a lob in traffic on an inbounds, getting a tip dunk off the rim, or dunking on someone in transition.  He shoots it well from the 3, especially the corners.  Is able to get by his defender and use his athleticism to finish in traffic.  Showed a nice crossover he uses to get a step on his defenders and get to his spots.

2026 Hunter Holbrook

Gets the ball and goes on offense and pushes the tempo often getting the full length of the floor for easy buckets. Hasn’t seen a shot he doesn’t like and rightfully so, you generally never see him miss twice in a row.  Multiple times during game settings he relocated off of offensive rebounds and his teammates found him and he knocked it down from outside.

2025 Nikolas Avaliani

Strong guard who is able to take bumps off his defender on drives.  He consistently creates contact every time down the floor making it difficult for defenders to stay in front of him. Has played with a great deal of confidence all Spring/Summer. Scores the ball at an efficient rate off the dribble or from 3. He lets the game come to him without forcing things. Serves as a playmaker in the half court finding cutters for easy baskets. Had a really good July with GA Legacy at the On The Radar Hoops Elite 32 and Power 24 with multiple 20+ scoring outings.
