Player Spotlight: Chris Smalls (Brookwood HS)

By: Kris Watkins Follow @KrisWatkinsPSB
Our staff are big fans of 2019 Chris Smalls of Brookwood High School. We have been able to watch his game develop over the last 3 years. He has consistently made improvements and we expect him to have a breakout senior season. Smalls is one of the elite 3 point shooters in the State. He has spent a considerable amount of time in the weight room and it showed in recent Fall Exposure events where he was able to use his upper body strength to finish through contact at the rim.

Brookwood High School Head Coach, Daniel Bowles on Smalls
“Chris has had a solid career to this point, appearing in 39 games over his sophomore and junior seasons. Chris is a proven shooter, averaging close to 40% from behind the 3 point line and 80% FT’s. But, we truly believe that Chris is has only scratched the surface and is primed for a breakout senior season. He’s put in a ton of work this summer / fall and has become one of our team leaders in the weight room and on the floor. We have high expectations for Chris’ production this year, and are looking forward to a great season.”
