Player Spotlight: Colin Granger (Lambert HS)

By: Kris Watkins

2020 6’9 Colin Granger of Lambert High School is a prospect college coaches are beginning to really take notice of.  As a sophomore Granger averaged 12ppg/8rpg for a Lambert Longhorns program that made it to the Sweet 16 last season (Read about the whole Longhorns team here).  He followed up his sophomore campaign with a strong showing in playing with AOT in the Spring/Summer.

We got a chance watch Granger recently at the On the Radar Hoops Super 64 camp and his game did not disappoint.  Granger’s motor was evident on both the offensive and defensive end of the floor especially on the glass.  He is able to complete defensive stops by closing the possession with a rebound.  On the offensive end, his ability to run the floor forces opposing forwards to work all game long.  His ever expanding range to shoot the ball makes him an even bigger threat on offense in the half court setting.  In pick and roll sets, he can crash inside for a dunk or pop out for the jumper.  Granger even showed he can put the ball on the deck and attack the rim from the perimeter.

Granger currently holds offers from Sienna and Mt St. Marys and Longwood, High Point, Lipscomb, Clemson, UNC Asheville, Mercer,  Belmont, Mt. St. Marys and Cornell have all been in to see him this week.
