2021 6’5 James White (Heritage)

First got a chance to watch James White last June at our Summer Showcase and I walked away extremely impressed, but I do not think anyone could have predicted the extent of breakout Junior season he was going to have.  White was named Region as well as All State by numerous different media outlets in Georgia after scoring over 700pts this season that included multiple 30+point games and a 41pt/11reb outing in January.  White is one of the top prospects in GA regardless of class in terms of being able to get his own shot off the catch and shoot or off the bounce.  Standing at 6’5 White is able to get his shot off over smaller guards and is equipped with a variety of step backs with great footwork with an effortless looking jump shot that has made him one of GA’s top stock risers this season. White currently holds offers from South Alabama and Tennessee State while also hearing from numerous schools in the ACC, SEC, Big South and Sun Belt.

2021 Brendan Rigsbee (North Gwinnett)

’21 Brendan Rigsbee was named Honorable Mention All-Region this year and helped North Gwinnett win a Region Championship as well as an Elite 8 run.  The left-handed sniper brings it each time he steps on the floor and has bounce to make plays at the rim.  I first got the chance to watch Rigsbee in November at the Jared Cook Classic and he didn’t disappoint the rest of the season.  What I like the most about Rigsbee’s game is that he doesn’t settle for the shot from 3 and will attack the rim and use his shiftiness to get to the rim.  He is a High Academic 4.0 prospect Division I coaches need to give Coach Matt Garner at North Gwinnett about ASAP.

Junior Season Highlights

2022 Seth Hubbard (St. Francis)

Hubbard was an important piece of St. Francis’ State Championship run this season finishing with 12pts/6reb in the State Championship game.  He has solidified himself as a Division I caliber guard prospect.  I have had the chance to watch his game grow over the last 4 years and his versatility at the guard position makes him an intriguing prospect for college coaches to track this spring/summer.  Look for him to step into an even bigger scoring role next season with the departure of GA’s top players in Dwon Odom (Xavier).  Hubbard has great length that gives him the ability to be a force on the glass at the guard position as well as finish through contact that to go along with his outside shooting makes him a player coaches will have on their radar.

2021 Garrison Powell (Holy Innocents’)

Powell stands at 6’4 and is able to play both on or off the ball.  He really came into his own this season under Coach Cabral Huff to the tune of 18.9ppg/6.3rg/4.3apg/1.9spg in route to being named All State by numerous media outlets while also being selected to the GACA Junior All Star Game while also being First Team All Region for the 3rd straight season while eclipsing the 1000pt barrier as a junior.  I was able to watch him in what I think was a game that showed his growth as a player as much as any at the Big South Shootout in December when he went for 11pts/11ast/6 rebounds.  His improved willingness and ability as a distributor to go with his scoring punch is going to make him a valuable asset coaches have on their list over the next 3 months headed into the July period.
