Summer Notebook-August 5th, 2025

2026 Jaylin Sweat
Sweat’s improvement from March to July was extremely evident during the summer open period a few weeks ago. Everything really started clicking for him on the offensive end of the floor with his confidence and aggressiveness. He is always in attack mode punishing the rim and defenders. I really like that he plays within himself where other prospects would want to live on the 3 point line all game he plays out of the high and midpost. His jumper out of these areas has looked good over last few months and his mechanics are solid moving forward to stretch to 3 at collegiate level at a consistent level. On the defensive end of the floor he is a menace due to his shot blocking ability. He has recent offers from Savannah State, Gwinnett College and Edward Waters with numerous other colleges tracking him heading into his senior season makes him one of GA’s most intriguing long term prospects.
2026 D’Quill Osbey
One of Georgia’s more underrated guards. He played extremely well in our OTRHoops x SHReport Shootout Session I as well as the GBCA June event where he averaged 20+ppg. What stands out the most in the progress of his game we saw late this spring/summer was his commitment to really lock in on the defensive end of the floor. Having a guard who can score the ball as well as he can while also being a plus defender/defensive stopper is something coaches always look for.
2026 Nate McDaniel
He is just as efficient at playing on or off the ball. When he is at the PG position he does a good job of playing out of pick and rolls and getting his big men involved. When he is at the off guard position he is an extremely good shooter when spotted up from 3 being able to stretch the defense and open up his driving lanes. He has a good change of pace when attacking and is able to penetrate the defense and finish on a variety of midrange pull ups and floaters.
2026 Harper Rife
One of the best shooters in Georgia. As a Junior he was named 1st team All Region with 79 3pointers made on the season while shooting 40+ percent from deep. He excels shooting it from range both in catch and shoot or off the dribble making shots from everywhere behind the arc. He is more than just a 3 point specialist, he can put the ball on the floor as well and is an explosive one foot jumper when he gets in the paint.
