Team Promotion Example
With the newly announced June NCAA Open period it is going to be very important for Coaches to be able to distinguish their programs from others. What I am suggesting is the following: Create in a Google Doc with profiles on each of your players with as much info as you can about them. If you create as PDF coaches will need to open it in iBooks either way works. The google doc version probably works best because if your players get new info such as test scores/highlights you just add them to the doc and college coaches will already have the link
Suggestions on what to include
-Opening page w/ history of your program w/ former players in college (if this is something that promotes your program in a positive light).
Background on Head Coach-can note former players in college-this is especially important if you have taken over a new program
Team Spreadsheet
-Roster w/ Heights and Classes
Individual Player Profiles (Order by Class-2022, 2023, 2024, 2025)
Due to private information in nature this will need to be password protected when you post it publicly. You can tweet then Link and ask coaches to DM you for password (Watch this video-Once you have created your google doc w/ player info you want to set it to where only people with link can view. Then you take that link and follow the instructions in this video-This is also great because it helps you track which college coaches are actually looking at your team info https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQjYOLrrlac)
-Height
-Academic Info (GPA/Test Scores/Honors AP Classes Etc)
-Stats/Awards
-Video Links (Highlights and Full Games)
If you do all of this in a google doc and hyperlink the videos everything will be hyperlinked for college coaches when you send to them (You will see in the example I used QR Codes, if I was doing this again everything would be hyperlinked, we did the QR Codes because we were handing them out in person at a Holiday Tournament)
Here is an example of something similar I did for the Holy Innocents’ Girls Program nearly 10 years ago-This program had numerous players go on to play at the D1 Level (Just Click the link to open it)
